Screaming during the night when everything changes
Hear it on the inside
The subtle changes in life that nobody notices
Feel it on the outside
Baptisms at church when precious babies are born
Watch it from the inside
Families gathered together: mothers on one side, fathers on the other
See it from the outside
New town, new house, new bed
Exciting at first, lonely and then
“Who moved my cheese?” somebody said
If change is constant, shouldn’t it feel more familiar?
Beautiful poem.
